A Vision for the 21st Century |
|
Our city officials are incorporating the Wooster Streetscape Project into the Wooster Revitalization Project. This streetscape beautification will fulfill our motto, “A Vision for the 21st Century” and create a “sense of place” for the Village of Fairfax.
Our plan is to build a bell and clock tower as a western gateway into the village and to add site amenities along the Wooster Road Corridor. Included in the streetscape will be new benches at major intersections, an avenue of trees, planters, bike racks and trash receptacles.
We are presently in the fundraising phase of the project and are asking you to support us with this major beautification of our village.
Timeless, majestic clock and bell towers have become the beautiful signature of many town squares, business parks, shopping areas and college campuses. The installation of such a tower at our front door and the streetscape amenities of the high quality and beautiful craftsmanship of The Verdin Company will represent our village well, and will become a product of which we will all be proud. As many of you know, Verdin is a Cincinnati company and one of the oldest family owned companies in America. They have been in business since 1842 producing bells, clocks and towers and today is led by the fifth generation of the family.
We hope that you will be interested in this project and will consider supporting the Village of Fairfax as we move into the 21st Century with beautiful new front doors.
Sincerely,
Carson L. Shelton, Mayor |
